Announcements The Birthday ProjectThroughout the 2010-11 school year, various music classes have been recording special birthday songs for some of Mrs. Baldwin's education network friends. Some live around the United States, some live in Canada, and one even lives all the way in Australia!
After we sent the birthday songs to these people, Mrs. Baldwin asked them to send us a note of thanks. You can read a little more about where these people are from and read or listen to their thanks to us here: ![]() 4th & 5th Grade Choir Skype Performance On May 18, the 4th & 5th Grade Choir skyped and performed for Winecoff Elementary in Concord, North Carolina. After we sang, then they sang for us. Our friend, Tim Gwynn who is a technology facilitator at Winecoff, took this photo of the 2nd grade class observing the choir. We are the ones projected on to the screen.
5th Grade Wartime Music Project5th graders are working on a project where they will interview family members, neighbors, or friends about wartime music from the past.

Choir will be performing Wednesday, May 18 at 8:00am. This performance is not open to the public. We are Skyping with a school in in North Carolina! Choir members should arrive no later than 7:45am. Please wear choir t-shirts or Grace Abbott t-shirts. We are on a very tight schedule, so please arrive on time! There is NO practice on Wednesday, May 25. Also, choir will be having a picnic at Pepperwood Park on Wednesday, May 25 from 11:15-12:30. If any parents are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Baldwin asap. Thank you! Recorder News 4th & 5th graders have completed their recorder units. Students may bring home their purchased recorders in the next two weeks. All 4th & 5th graders who borrowed recorders this year should turn them in- labeled with first and last name- to Mrs. Baldwin by Wednesday, May 4.

WHAT TO WEAR: We would like for 4th graders to dress up for this program. I've told the students to wear something slightly nicer than what they would wear to school. WHEN TO ARRIVE: All 4th graders should arrive no later than 6:15pm to help set up for the program. AFTER THE PROGRAM: A group of 4th graders have been assigned to help after the program to prepare the stage for the Band and Orchestra concert that performs at 7:30. Spring Concert - Thank You!Our Spring Concert was so much fun! I am really proud of all the 5th graders and Choir members! You were great!
